EPF stands for Employees Provident Fund. Previously employees can withdraw his provident Fund Amount, if he/she is unemployed or when he/she retires from the service after attaining 58 years of age retirement. According to the new EPF rule, if the employee quits his job before the age of retirement, he can withdraw the full PF balance, the condition that he/she remains unemployed for 60 days or more. EPF balance includes the contribution of the employee and the employer along with the interest calculated.
The persons willing to withdraw the PF amount has to make a claim by filling the EPF withdrawal form online which is available on EPF site: https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/
Kindly note that online withdrawal facility to claim the PF can only be used, if the member has linked his Aadhar with his UAN (Universal Account Number).
The EPF withdrawal can be made either by submission of a physical application at the PF office or by submission of an online application.
Before applying for the online withdrawal of the PF you need to make sure that you have the following details ready:
You must have your UAN number linked to your mobile number and your KYC is updated nad your Aadhar is linked to it.
Below are the steps to withdraw your EPF online:
Step 1: You will have to visit the EPF portal by clicking on the link- https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/ and login using UAN number, password and enter the captcha.
Step 2: Once the site is open, you can go to the tab manage and select KYC After that, you will have to click on the tab ‘Manage’ and select KYC to update your details such as Aadhar Card number, PAN Numeber and your bank details.
Step 3: For withdrawing your PF online, you need to go to the tab ‘Online Services’ and from the drop-down menu select the Claim Option (Form-31, 19 & 10C)’.
Step 4: Once you click on the Claim option the screen displays the member details, KYC details and other service details. It will ask you to enter the last four digits of your bank account and then click on ‘Verify’.
Step 5: Then click on ‘Yes’ to sign the certificate of the undertaking and then proceed further.
Step 6: And click on ‘Proceed for Online claim’ option.
Step 7: The you will have to select the claim form that is full EPF settlement, EPF part withdrawal (loan or advance) or pension withdrawal, under the tab ‘I Want To Apply For’.
Step 8: The you will have to select ‘PF Advance (Form 31)’ to withdraw your fund and then provide the details such as purpose of such as advance, the amount required and the employee’s address details.
Step 9: Then you have to click on the certificate and submit your application. You have also be asked to submit scanned copies such as “copy of the cheque and the related forms”.
Step 10: Then the withdrawal request will then have to be approved by the employer and after the approval only from your employer you will receive money in your bank account.
